Nicole Wilde, CPDT (Certified Pet Dog Trainer) is the author of two
books about
wolfdogs as well as

One: A Dog Trainer's Guide to Private Lessons, and

Dog (www.phantompub.com.) She writes columns and articles for various magazines and newspapers including Modern
Dog Magazine and has hosted the Dog Talk radio show. She co-stars in the DVD Train Your
Dog: The Positive Gentle Method and guest stars on The
Dog Whisperer (with Paul Owens) DVD. Nicole
is a Faculty member and on the Advisory Board of the Companion
Animal Sciences Institute, an accredited distance learning college that provides
certificate courses and diploma programs of study in professional dog training,
behavior consulting, fitness and nutritional sciences.
Nicole is a member of
the Association
of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), won their prestigious Ian Dunbar Member
of the Year Award in 2006, and is a popular speaker at their
national conferences. Nicole also teaches seminars and workshops around the
country and internationally. Despite her extensive experience, Nicole regularly attends seminars and workshops to keep
up with the best and latest training techniques. She has participated in
seminars on everything from intense aggression issues to clicker training dogs and chickens! Nicole's
holds a B.A. degree in Psychology.
Nicole has worked with all types of canines, both domestic and exotic (specializing in wolves and wolfdogs) as a trainer and rescuer for over ten years professionally full-time and ten before that part-time. Before establishing her full-time training business, Nicole’s canine-related jobs included working for a veterinarian, overseeing forty off-leash dogs daily at a doggie-daycare center, acting as Editor/Chief Writer for a pet-related magazine, and teaching group classes for various pet stores.
Nicole has worked with the Los Angeles City shelters as a Volunteer Coordinator, training and socializing dogs and training volunteers in canine body language and behavior. Her efforts have resulted in hundreds of dogs finding loving homes. Nicole has also served as Executive Director of a rescue center for wolves/wolfdogs and Pit Bulls, and taught workshops and educational seminars for animal control officers, school children and others.
